Apr. 9th, 2008 10:12 pmI showed up for the end of the troop meeting tonight. It was the first time I've shown up for more than 5 minutes in about 9 months. Tonight it was my turn to provide the inspirational moment for the closing ceremony (I did a thing on my writing down all my crushes/loves and how I was glad I had saved lots of letters, poems, notes, and other memorabilia from my youth and recommended they do what they could to remember what their life is like now).
It never fails that I come home jazzed about how much I enjoy working with the scouts and the relationships I've developed with them. JD and I discussed my going back on a regular basis, but I wouldn't be able to go until Harper is asleep. That is usually around 6:30-7pm. The troop leader meeting is at 6:30 and the troop meeting starts at 7pm, so I may be tardy, but I can be there each week again.
