I swear, I'm not training him to be gay!
Mar. 27th, 2008 08:42 pmCalvin's favorite song right now is the B-52's "Rock Lobster." I started auditioning some songs to him this past weekend for his next mix CD (#5!). I know JD has a strong hatred for "Rock Lobster," so I've been focusing my attention on "Dance This Mess Around" and "6060-842." He likes "Dance" alright. But the other day he hears "Rock Lobster" on Sirius First Wave and immediately wants to hear it again and again.
As has become typical, there's a live performance of which he is more fond than the studio version. This necessitates that Calvin get on the family computer and listen to it repeatedly so he can last a few hours without hearing the song.
Last night as I was checking the levels on the file, Calvin slipped behind me and was performing the song rather well. His imitations are getting more accurate in detail. Calvin's favorite part are Cindy's shrill trills of the sea creatures.
I must confess getting some good giggles with the thought of my parents coming across the song for the first time with the boys in the back singing along.
