singinbutterfly's Christmas Questionaire
Dec. 11th, 2007 12:07 pm1. What is your favorite Christmas memory with your family or friends?
My brother was in a Christmas play in 3rd(?) grade where he played an elf. That Christmas and maybe the next, we had him wear his elf costume and hand out presents. Nothing like a little Christmas schadenfreude.
2. What is your favorite Christmas memory away from home?
While I would think there is some discrepancy during my bachelor years, I don't think I've ever spent "Christmas" away from my family. Christmas Day might have been apart (me at JD's family's house or something), but I think I have spent every Christmas with my family.
3. What is your favorite secular Christmas song (not religious)?
I can't pick just one. Too close of a race...and I there are a lot of Xmas songs that I always screw up the titles, so I'm going to remain mute on this one.
4. What is your favorite sacred (religious) Christmas song?
Chorus of the Bells or Choir of the Bells, whatever
5. Favorite Christmas cookie?
JD makes these kick-ass sugar cookie (shortbread?) with cranberry compote swirl cookies.
6. Favorite Christmas dinner dish?
Taco Bell after eating traditional Xmas food for several days at the various family dinners.
7. Favorite Christmas movie(s)?
TIE - A Christmas Story and A Charlie Brown Christmas
8. Favorite Christmas drink?
None, really. I like hot, thick cider during the winter.
9. Is Christmas meaningful to you in a religious way, a spiritual way, or just a feel-good holiday?
Mostly a spiritual/fellowship of man sort of thing.
10. Favorite gift you got as a kid?
I was spoiled enough as a kid that no particular Xmas stands out more than another for the present I got. I fondly remember Xmas 1989(?) when I bought my brother a Gameboy and games for Xmas.
11. What gift are you asking for this year that you would be a little disappointed to not get?
Black Converse Chuck Taylors - My day-to-day pair are worn and have holes. I do have another pair of regular black, but they are the pair of shoes I wore at my wedding. I've only worn them 3 times since - all to weddings.
12. If you could make ANY wish for this Christmas, that might come true by magic, what would it be?
That Harper gets over being awake for such long stretches at night.
