Nov. 5th, 2007 10:04 amMy mom passed the following link to me today.
http://www.airfields-freeman.com/AL/Airfields_AL_Huntsville.htm
While the link is for Huntsville area airfields, the main site offers views of airfields across the US. The one thing I wish I could find online for the old Huntsville Airport is a picture or map of what it used to be like to drive across it after it was abandoned but before they put the nice straight road across it. I loved weaving through the taxi ways and runway (especially at night since there was next to no light in the area and the lines for the road and runways could be quite confusing) and wish I could see exactly how cars used to navigate the abandoned field.
