Huh, I guess I haven't posted at all this week. That might explain why I have so many potential posts running through my head.

I'm home today with some sort of yuck. I dunno if it is allergies or a bug. Head is full of snot, drained down my throat yesterday and last night, and I have a lovely cough.

Combine the two above comments and that is usually a recipe for a posting spree. Consider yourself warned.

My parents bought tickets to take the boys to see Jungle Jack at the VBC this past Sunday. Originally they were only going to take Calvin, but since Nigel has been enjoying JJ's videos, they later bought two more tickets so Nigel could go. Calvin, my mom, and my fraternal g-mom sat w/ Calvin in the front third of the concert hall. Nigel and I were three rows from the back wall. This was actually a great thing. Calvin was close enough to see well and had two adults to repeat and explain to him. Nigel and I were nearly alone in the back. This gave him an opportunity to wander up and down the row w/o disturbing anyone and I never had to worry about trying to keep the booger still for 90 minutes.

The show was nice. Nigel made it to the 65 minute mark and then was ready to get out of the hall and explore. We spent the next 30ish minutes wandering around the lobby, balcony, and halls of the VBC. As we all waited in the lobby for my g-mom to get out of the bathroom. My mom looked over at the table where they had posters for sale and people were lined up to get autographs. She decided to see if she could buy Calvin a poster w/o having to wait in line. The woman welcomed her over, they picked out a poster, and mom paid. As she turns around, Jack sits on the table next to her. "Could you sign this?" she asked him, with Calvin at her side. I HAD to walk away from there before Nigel witnessed my mom being lynched by the people who were in line.

Calvin and I put his poster up on the wall yesterday. "To Calvin, my pal, Jack Hanna 2007"

Technically, Monkey is due on 11/22 (aka - Nigel's b'day)...which is the 40 week mark. HOWEVER, Calvin was born at 35 1/2 weeks and Nigel at 36 weeks. If Monkey is born before 36 weeks, we'll have to go to a hospital instead of using the midwife due to premature risks. That means that we are keeping our fingers crossed that Monkey stays put until, at least, Halloween.

JD was having Braxton Hicks contractions of increasing strength, but mostly later in the day. I've shifted my work schedule to allow her more rest time during the day and that has drastically cut her BHs. But it hammers in the point that we are on the verge of a third child in my house. I've dealt with my fears of a third child by focusing on JD's pregnancy and not what I'm going to have to deal with after birth. Now, I'm worried about Monkey staying put long enough so we can do the midwife, are we ready for the delivery, do we have a plan for the days afterward, how the hell am I going to handle the household, how are the boys going to react to the new sibling, and the usual (back of the mind) paranoia of the whole assortment of things that could go wrong or be wrong for Monkey.

On a lighter note, JD hasn't talked names in a while, so either she's accepted Harper for a girl's name or she's going to stick with Cecilia but delay the discussion until after the birth. Who will win then? Yup, I'd be the mean guy depriving her this wish for her only daughter and last child. *sigh*
