Back to School Crud and a Prayer
Aug. 29th, 2007 02:33 pmJD and I have been wallowing about the house today. Calvin was sniffle-riffic at the end of last week and we're now going through the Wide World of Snot. I hate it when my nose is stuffed completely and yet drips constantly. Blowing into tissues is a frustrating act of futility.
While working on the laptop the past couple of days, I've had Bloc Party stuck in my head. When I took time off on Monday to mow grass, I filled the mp3 player w/ BP tracks from Silent Alarm and A Weekend in the City. The top song circulating in my noggin is:
"The Prayer"
I must confess that I did a double-take and wondered if my experimental lifestyle in college was catching up with me when I saw the video on Subterranean for the first time.
Standing on the packed dance floor
Our bodies throb in time
Silent on the weekdays
Tonight I claim what’s mine
