Aug. 14th, 2007 01:43 pmThis summer is dragging on longer than watching Return of the King. I'm starting to see the signs of the upcoming change: school is back, NFL preseason has started, and I'm so hot at night that I'm sleeping rather miserably. In addition to my quickly overheating beds/couch, my restless legs have been acting up quite a bit lately. Today I'm having to stand up and "slow dance" at my desk because I'm feeling so jumpy today.
JD is scheduling an appointment for me to see a chiropractor. I've never seen one before, but since I've met my deductible, I figured I had nothing to lose by going in for an adjustment. The month or so I spent in bed HAD to have made my back/body all wonky if it wasn't already. For the couple of weeks, I've been slow dancing in the living room until when I sit/lie down I don't get twitchy again and wake up. I hate only being able to sleep when I've reached the point of utter physical exhaustion.

Guilty TV Addiction
Aug. 14th, 2007 01:59 pmI am completely addicted to Scott Baio is 45...and Single on VH1. One afternoon they had a 10 minute teaser for the show and I was hooked.
While you get to see the ass Scott has been for much of his life, there is something to be said for his honesty on camera - especially during his sessions with Doc Ali. Here's a quick primer of the show:
As the title says, Scott is 45 and single...but interested in marrying and having kids with his current girlfriend. He is set up with a life coach who is doing an 8-week program with Scott to help explore his fear of commitment. Just like everyone else in Hollywood, Scott has an entourage of friends he hangs with (including the actor who played the big brother in The Wonder Years) and one person of the crew is pure poison. Anyways, part of the therapy is that Scott is celibate and isn't allowed contact w/ his girlfriend during the project. During the course of her working with Scott, she gives him little assignments. Many of them involve going back and discussing things with ex-girlfriends. If you liked the first half of High Fidelity, then you should give the show a try.
What has me foaming from the mouth this week is that I know that Johnny V is about to get his come-uppance from Doc Ali and, hopefully, Scott. The bastard is such a creepy leech on Scott's life, I am very anxious to see what happens.
