(no subject)

Nigel's got another cold and has been home with me the past couple of days instead of heading into school. I'm not so annoyed by this as I usually might since the boy is pretty low maintenance. Work was slow yesterday, so I had time to spare when Nigel did get demanding for my attention. Today, I fear, I may not be able to bend to his desires as readily since K's been in contact with me about some work.

I have two LJ posts in progress sitting on my computers that I really should complete and post sometime when I get the opportunity. Maybe I can get Nigel to take a nap today... *squints eyes and rubs chin*

Upgrade LJ?

I've been pondering "upgrading" from free to plus status on LJ.

Honestly, the only compelling reason for me to do this is to give me some more user pics. Six are fine, but I'm getting sick of swapping out pics every couple of months when an unused icon would be ideal for a particular post/comment. It would be nice to keep some of these reaction/subject icons on the server all the time.

But I don't want to force folks to have to read ads and crap on my journal.

Would you mind the ads if I switched to plus? Would you even notice?

Spring has sprung in AL

Weeds and spring flowers coming up. The daffodil bulbs I planted along our back fence last year will be in bursting in the next couple of days. The apple tree in our n'bor's backyard looks like a 30' tall cloud of snow with its soft, white blooms.

It's 79 degrees with a cool breeze that keeps me from turning the A/C on for the first time this year.

Since my favorite politician, Sen. Arlen Spector (R-PA), isn't likely to run for president again this year AND my philosophically-similar politician, Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX), is merely an ideological choice and not a practical one; I have begun to gather info for the sake of screening who I can readily dismiss and who I need to pay attention to over the next 18 or so months.
