Trip to Chattanooga, Part II
Jan. 21st, 2006 10:04 pmI return from upriver looking forward to my next trip there. I, however, will not be returning to stay at the Chatt Choo-Choo again. The con aside; there were two leaks in our train car last night when it rained, it was quite far from the riverfront while so many other hotels are there, and the food SUCKED at the hotel restaurant (considering there were no restaurants nearby/walking-distance to use as an alternate).
Downtown Chattanooga was very impressive. It was definitely larger than I expected, but it was the vibrancy of businesses that grabbed my interest. I would gladly live in a loft in downtown Chattanooga.
I am (as well as Calvin, of course) thrilled with the family membership at the Tennessee Aquarium. The facility is sizable, diverse, and entertaining. It actually has a "campus" with the two aquarium buildings, a plaza with waves of concrete...

no, in a cool way!

Skateboarders must yearn to use this area!
