Bright Eyes is Dull
One of the critics' darlings over the past few years has been Bright Eyes. I had listened to a few of his tracks that my brother gave me a couple of years ago and was unimpressed. I watched Austin City Limits with Wilco and Bright Eyes last night...That booger just annoyed the ever-loving-fuck out of me! I appreciate me some indie folk on occasion, but he was like every coffeehouse folkie stereotype in one person. "Oh, I'm so precious and witty, but I can show my angst too." Kudos on his songwriting at an early age and such, but I just don't understand the hype for this guy.
