Rain

Lots of rain today. Got home this evening after watching Daytona at my parents' home and tried to get a good look at the rear of the backyard. There's some standing water, but I'm hoping it's in the area that is lower than where the drain to the sewer is. Wasn't curious enough to actually walk back there w/ a flashlight, so I'm not likely to know for certain how the drainage is until Calvin wakes me up tomorrow morning.

Hunter S. Thompson Dead

Just saw that the Father of Gonzo Journalism committed suicide earlier tonight. Can't say that I'm very surprised given his quirky persona, but I feel really bummed out.
