When Darrell came to Nashville, he said that he wanted a "danger boy" for us to do stunts with. Guess who volunteered to be that person... :)

During the years that I got to be "RoadKill," I:
(incomplete, and in no particular order)
*fished in the Delta inside the Opryland Hotel and was escorted out by security
*went to a nudist colony and played horseshoes naked
*rode my bike the 15ish miles into work one morning (it took the whole 3 hours of the show w/ all the hills)
*walked around Kroger asking people their opinions on Charmin
*quized the students on Vanderbilt's campus
*"vandalized" a yard, later to be revealed to have been our newsman's yard (while he's unknowingly cheering it on the whole time)
*filled condoms at the fountains at Bicentennial Mall
*bobbed for rubber duckies
*went around getting tourists to join me in doing The Chicken Dance
*a few games of "Where's RoadKill"
*got a body make-over with: hairstyle and color, manicure, facial, massage, wine, and waxing
*Converting Listeners - I would approach a car stopped at an intersection downtown and ask what type of music they liked listening to. I would be on the phone w/ the studio and relaying this info to them. If the person liked classic rock, the board op would put on some Led Zeppelin. I would then tell the person that we played that type of music and for them to change their radio to 99.7FM. They would do that, hear the Led Zeppelin and drive off. Hopefully, after Darrell started talking after the song the person would hear what we were doing and get a kick out of it. We received several emails from people that I had converted saying that they started and continued to listen from that moment.
*tested the honesty of people on the street by having me smoke while talking on the phone with Darrell and (unsolicited!) lie for me on the air (by telling D that I wasn't smoking). - one of the few RK stunts to which I go back routinely to listen.
*mingled with country music fans at Fan Fair spreading false rumors about the stars
*threw donuts into passing cars
*tied ugly ties across the Cumberland River
*drove a monster truck
*had people on the street sing song parodies (one time they were all songs from an imagined Hannibal Lector musical)
*was arrested while riding the baggage claim belt at Nashville International Airport.

Here are some pics of some of my adventures.
