(no subject)

Calvin is looking quite the boy. He has gone full tilt on wanting to walk around. Crawling is still faster, but he walks w/ support as often as he can and will walk on his own to get from one support to another. He's much better at doing it in his own time/motivation rather than when his mother and I try to get him to do it. Dance, Monkey, Dance!

My brother is coming up here today to work on the siding of my parents' house. We've got the replacement boards, so he's removing the old and nailing in the new. Unfortunately, his roommate won't be coming up today to help. I was asked and couldn't guiltlessly get out of helping him. I am far from looking forward to this -- the heat...the humidity...standing on ladders up at the 2nd storey...uggghhh. Oh well. He told me last night that he would give me a ring when he got into town "before lunch." It is now a bit past noon and I haven't heard from him (please don't call, please don't call, please don't call). I keep checking the Weather Channel because there's supposed to be scattered thunderstorms today and I just know that we are going to get a storm any minute now...damn, none near the TN Valley yet.
