I've survived the elections...both at the station and in my own personal duty.

Work:
I got to stay up to about 1am Wednesday morning getting audio of acceptance and concession speeches. The day after show was a severe hassle. I was able to get a couple of people firmly confirmed. However, two that swore they would be on but we just needed to arrange a time in the morning were complete losses because they were up till 1am too. Those lucky bastards -unlike myself- just pressed their snooze alarms and slept in...leaving me in a lurch. Thankfully, I was able to reach other people to replace and was able to follow the breaking news that morning and get guests from/on the races in South Dakota and Minnesota.
I really love my job, but I invest a lot of myself into it and can be very drained after things like this. Thankfully, JD had to take Calvin to visit the doc and she let me take a nap while she was gone. I was so grateful to have a nap that lasted longer than the "sleep" the night before. Usually I'm exceptionally cranky after naps, but I was a blissful ball of joy Wednesday afternoon/evening.

Personally:
I was able to get to the fire station to vote at an exceptional time. There was no line, no hassle over my moving a couple of weeks ago, and had an easy ballot to fill out. To top it all off, I was very pleased with the outcome and how my vote counted...even my contribution to the 1% statewide tally of most of my Libertarian votes.
