Leave your name and
1. I'll respond with something random about you.
2. I'll tell you what song/movie reminds me of you.
3. I'll pick a flavor of jello to wrestle with you in.
4. I'll say something that only makes sense to you and me.
5. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you.
6. I'll tell you the one place in the world I want to go with you to.
7. I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you.
8. If I do this for you, you must post this on your journal. You MUST. It is written.

I must confess to browsing through the yearbooks to help stir up memories to use for this.
1. Random: Rose Towers
2. Movie: "Animal House" - no specific reason.
3. Jello: Sour Apple
4. Inside Joke: Honestly don't know if you'll remember this reference..."My nipples are hard to kiss you."
5. Clearest memory: Most of my memories of you are in collage and not anecdotal form. In a way, I saw you as a mentor/friendly competitor for the witty, boy-next-door role at Grissom - mainstream but ODD, cuddly but not a heart breaker.
6. Place: BASE jumping someplace...but I'm not supposed to do that since I've never jumped, I guess.
7. Question: Why stay with the military?

1. Random: Boobies!
2. Song/Movie: The Man Who Sailed Around His Soul
3. Jello: Mango
4. Inside joke: Spraying my butt, spraying my butt.
5. First/Clearest: One of the first things that I remember about you was my first visit to your User page and I finally put a name to the situation of much of my friends - Childfree.
6. Place: Ditto yours to me - Swindon!
7. Question: When did you get into video gaming?

I started gaming when I was 6. The game was "Pong", on the "Pong" system. Not long after that my Dad bought us an Atari 2600, and the rest is history. We spent hours playing Missle Command, Circus Atari and as many other games as I could get my hands on. Gaming took a hiatus in high school, though I would still play from time to time. And I never did get the hang of the first Nintendo controllers when they were cutting edge. It wasn't until I started dating [livejournal.com profile] hisgrouchyness that I started really gaming again. Then, as now, I thought a great date night was going to the house, getting a pizza and watching him play through Super Metroid or Zelda. Nowadays we tend to take turns on manning the controller, though.

too funny. i should dig up my old yearbooks. ah, memories.
remember those old rotc uniforms? gah.

At first, I enjoyed doing all the fun things in the national guard.
Then it was college money and a sense of direction.
Since I became a lawyer, one weekend a month was like a hobby
until they called me up for a year.
Now, the work isn't too difficult, the money is steady,
and I'm trying to find a law firm job or government job
so I don't have to go broke opening another law office.

The inside joke is vaguely familiar - but I can't place it.

"My nipples are hard to kiss you"

On one of the ROTC competition trips to Auburn Univ, a female member of the group whispered that into my ear one evening. The feeling was far from mutual. Not being the kind of guy that gets the ladies confiding about the firmness of their bodies, I asked another female in the color guard w/ me what I should do. She lacked advice but managed to spread the story to everyone on the trip within the next 8 hours. You orienteering guys were especially fond of confessing to the hardness of your nipples to kiss me too.

1. Random: Addison
2. Song/Movie: "Smellin' Coffee" by Chris Rice
3. Jello: Orange
4. Inside joke: Yesterday's News
5. First/Clearest: After doing a LJ interest meme, I discovered that there was someone else with Darrell Ankarlo in their interests.
6. Place: Dallas - basically a restaurant tour would be nice.
7. Question: Slightly cheating, but the second one is fair game as a follow-up...What made you an Ankarlo listener? Were you already a KLIF listener?

1. Random: Canal Street
2. Song/Movie: I'm cheating and changing this to band - Concrete Blonde
3. Jello: Blueberry
4. Inside joke: I'd like to talk to you, but I'm busy being a jungle gym.
5. First/Clearest: The clearest memory is something that has motivated me since it happened: Your date at my senior prom. That moment of realizing that had I even allowed myself to ask you to the prom, you might have said yes. That memory has been a swift kick in the ass for me whenever I ponder whether or not to do something.
6. Place: Back to D.C. for another art museum romp!
7. Question: If you were to be offered a job w/ tons of benefits - such that moving anywhere in the U.S. would be feasible - where would you like to get that offer from (city, not company)?

I guess I was already a KLIF listener, but only a few days before Darrell came on board. It was not too long after 9/11. I heard Howard Stern ON 9/11 when the events happened, but for some reason, I forget what, I tuned into KLIF and heard the woman who had the morning show before Darrell. I don't even remember her name. But then Darrell took over. It took awhile to get used to him, he's even said that before. But I love his show. I wish I could listen to him at 5am, but that's while I'm still at work and can't get AM reception very well in the store.

So am I correct in assuming that yesterday's news left when you did? :)>

It might have died with my departure. I wasn't solely responsible for it, though; Sacco created the audio from suggestions I gave him.

You know, I think I'd like to stay in Huntsville. I can't imagine moving myself and my boys away from my parents and their fathers. Well, unless I had a Man in my life. I'd move for a man.

*sighs* Still stupid after all these years.
