Considering Sky News is a News Corp.-owned station (Rupert Murdock also owns Fox News), it's more likely one of those deals where the producer grabs a quote made 30 seconds ago and translates into a caption. Whether there was a smirk on his/her face when it was done is certainly up for speculation. I would put money on it being accidental.
